Being Pacific, Artist and Queer: Pati Solomona Tyrell of FAFSWAG

Pati Solomona Tyrell is known as a cofounder of art collective FAFSWAG. Only 18 months ago his shortlisted work for the Walters Prize Fagogo, was his graduate exhibition from his degree with the Manukau Institute of Technology. It was later shown at the St Paul Street Gallery in Auckland and Dunedin Public Art Gallery to acclaim. Mark Amery spoke to Pati about his work. The Walters Prize exhibition opens at Auckland Art Gallery on 18 August 2018.
