Headquarters Viaduct continues to defend the delete posted and has now confirmed they have many friends in the rainbow community.
The owner clearly has some issues with the current government, the NZ Media, and a large number of people in New Zealand. They do however believe some overseas media and are clearly experts.
To quote from their Facebook page:
“The real story is of course this, why are our perfectly well managed bars and restaurants closed, and why is the PM lying to NZ, or at least being economical with the truth, as is Ashley Bloomfield who continues to report false positives from non infectious and dead virus fragments in unreliable Elisa tests, dead virus fragments derived from recovered patients, but reported as a new C19 infection …..but hey, I have little faith in the NZ media, and less in those who’ve been fooled by the chicanery and spin of this government and their agents”
They also seem to be blocking others from posting any comments.
Lol. I wrote on Headquarters new post today.
Sure enough it got deleted and I was blocked.
He’s really obsessed with gay people.

For fairness we have reposted their facebook posts.
Post 15 May – Official Statement
A statement from HQ in response to various allegations circulating about our attitude to the LGBT community
We have never been, and never will be homophobic
We have many friends in the rainbow community and put great value on our relationship with, for example, the team at Family Bar, who we’ve worked with collaboratively in the past
It appears the latest media frenzy is based on comments in response to misleading claims made by the Prime Minister that bars couldn’t reopen because they might cause a second wave of C-19 infections “because that’s what happened in South Korea”
That statement by the PM is a fabricated half truth and we merely pointed out why
Anyone can google that story, try the Wall St Journal, The Washington Post or The Guardian
Google “Covid-19 outbreak South Korea in gay precinct”, it’s all there and it’s quite some read
What happened in South Korea was unique, and we merely emphasised that fact in an embroidered, and what we thought was a funny way
It’s unfortunate that some in the toxic media, and one other entity, have elected to take what we said out of context, and twist it into what’s nothing more than deceitful chicanery
In the interim we apologise to any from the rainbow community who’ve been offended by this devious distortion of the facts, and we want you to know that you’re 100% welcome back at HQ anytime, just as you’ve always been
I repeat our byline from the rainbow celebrations, celebrated here only two months ago
How sweet it is to be loved by you
Team HQ
16 May Post
At risk of creating a further storm, but in response to further lies in a Stuff article this morning, here’s the actual story I commented on, in response to what the Prime Minister claimed was justification for keeping all NZ bars closed ( she either lied or she’s ignorant of the facts )
My position is that what happened in South Korea is unique, from an epidemiological “track and trace “ perspective, and it’s irrelevant whether the carrier of the virus was gay, straight, or a bob each way.
What is relevant is that his behaviour created an epidemiological nightmare within a small precinct frequented by the LGBT community, because that group had a culture of providing false identities when they registered at each club.
South Korea reports 29 new COVID-19 cases
My story and my response would’ve been exactly the same if the offending infected person had been a straight person.
The real story is of course this, why are our perfectly well managed bars and restaurants closed, and why is the PM lying to NZ, or at least being economical with the truth, as is Ashley Bloomfield who continues to report false positives from non infectious and dead virus fragments in unreliable Elisa tests, dead virus fragments derived from recovered patients, but reported as a new C19 infection …..but hey, I have little faith in the NZ media, and less in those who’ve been fooled by the chicanery and spin of this government and their agents
Anyway here’s the truth, and similar stories about the exact same event can be found in the Washington Post, Wall St Journal, Time, or the Guardian
Now who should one believe, those august publications or the Herald, Stuff, or the posts of the septic ignorami on SM ?
