Intersex Awareness Day – 26 October 2018

Check the two new beautiful pieces of artwork – created for Intersex Awareness Day (in the facebook post) by the talented local artist, Huriana Kopeke-Te Aho.

The first celebrates the preciousness of life itself, the sacredness of birth, of babies. At a street protest in Chicago earlier this year, the refrain: children need love, not scalpels.

The second reminds us the intersex community is diverse – we don’t conform to any cookie cutter notion of humanity, we are all fabulous, we are straight, cis, queer, trans, non-binary, and more we live all across planet earth, we come from all cultures, all religions – we deserve to be loved, to be respected to live brilliant, hope filled lives.
