RainbowYOUTH is spreading this donation across some of the key areas they’re focussing on (the donation converted to around NZD$73,000):
$33,000 towards Bay of Plenty regional work – making sure that they can provide support and community for young people across the region, some of whom are geographically isolated
$25,000 towards rangatahi takatāpui and Pasifika rainbow youth – they’ll be providing 10 cash scholarships and funding partnerships with kaupapa Māori and Pasifika organisations nationally
$15,000 towards improving the safety and sustainability of our peer support services, making sure that they do a good job of supporting the 600+ youth and whānau they’ll help around the country this year
They’ll be announcing more details about the scholarships in the near future. In the meantime please join them in saying a big thank you to Microsoft for this huge investment in our communities!
