Odoriferous Rotorua

The smell of Rotorua can in fact be a little overpowering at first. People who haven't been forewarned may arrive and wonder whether everyone there lives on a diet of beans, bran-flakes and coffee. The sulphurous, flatulent smell is inescapable, but you really do stop noticing it after the first few hours.
